HELLO FRIENDS
Today is a very shocking Christmas news for you

American Airlines 'Glitch' allows to all pilot to take vacation over Christmas week

A computer error has allowed too many pilots at American Airlines to schedule time off during the upcoming Christmas season, creating a potential pilot shortage for what is expected to be one of the busiest holidays in years for the airline industry. The Fort Worth-based carrier said it hopes to avoid canceling any flights during the holiday period by calling in reserve pilots and offering other pilots 150% of their salaries to return to the cockpits during the time they have been approved to be on vacation."We are working diligently to address the issue and expect to avoid cancellations this holiday season," the airline said in statement.
Airline representatives declined to say how many of the carrier's 15000 pilots were allowed to take time off for the holiday. But the number was high enough that the carrier had to quickly adopt several measures to keep its holiday flights on schedule.
During the Thanksgiving holiday, an estimated 28.5 million passengers flew on U.S. based carrier, a 3% increase over the same time in 2016. The airline industry is bracing for an even bigger surge in travellers during the Christmas holiday. The computer that manages the payroll and vacation schedules at American Airlines is separate from the system that manages passengers reservations. Still, industry experts say the the increased complexity of airline computer system is to blame for a growing no.  of glitches that have recently grounded airplanes and posted ultra-cheap airfares.

Jet Airways partners with Air France-KLM to boost connectivity; says Etihad ties won't be affected

Jet Airways partners with AirFrance-KLM to boost connectivity; says Etihad ties won't be affected

To tap to India's booming international air traffic, JET AIRWAYS and AIR FRANCE-KLM HAS ANNOUNCED " enhanced coopertaion agreement" to increase the number of flights to Europe, especially  Paris and Amsterdam, and expand further connectivity to the United States. The partnership between the two could however hurt the business prospects of major Gulf career Etihad Airways, which owns 24 per cent stake in Jet Airways, but the pact would help Jet Airlines expand its footprints.
The agreement signed in Mumbai on Wednesday also includes Delta Airlines, with which Air France KLM has an existing partnership. Many international airlines are tying up on the international routes in face of increasing competition and to reduce expanse.Jet Airways was eying to increase footprints in Europe for long.In September Jet's CFO Amit Agarwal said that there was "continued weakness in the Gulf market both on demand as well as yield. And flights into Amsterdam and Paris are a brighter spot.

Airbus,Rolls-Royce, and Siemens have formed a partnership which aims at developing a near-term flight demonstrator which will be a significant step forward in hybrid-electric propulsion for commercial aircraft.
The three companies together announced the groundbreaking collaboration, bringing together some of the world's foremost experts in electrical and propulsion technologies at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
The E-Fan X hybrid-electric technology demonstrator is anticipated to fly in 2020 following a comprehensive ground test campaign, provisionally on a BAe 146 flying testbed, with one of the aircraft's four gas turbine engines replaced by a two megawatt electric motor.Provisions will be made to replace a second gas turbine with an electric motor once system maturity has been proven.
"The E-Fan X is an important next step in our goal of making flight a reality in the foreseeable future. The lessons we learned from a long history of electric fight demonstrator, starting with the Cri-Cr, including the e-Genius, E-Star, and culminating most recently with the E-Fan 1.2 as well as the fruits of the Siemens, will pave the way to a hybrid single aisle commercial aircraft that is safe, efficient and cost effective.
The E-Fan X demonstrator will explore the challenges of high-power propulsion system, such as thermal effects, electric thrust management, altitude and dynamic effects on electric systems and electromagnetic compatibility issues. The objective is to push and mature the technology, performance, safety and reliability enabling quick progress on the hybrid electric technology. The programme also aims at establishing the requirements for future certification of electrically powered aircraft while training a new generation of designers and engineers to bring hybrid-electric commercial aircraft one step closer to reality....

Hello Friends

Hope you all are good.So today i want to share something great about technical things in aircraft.

How does the ILS(Instrument Landing System) work?

Image result for aviation industry

ILS systems work  by sending two beams able to be picked up by aircrafts radios and instrumentation that guide the aircraft down to a safe landingspot in the runway one guides you down on the altitude to the runway in a sort of slope (that's why it's called a GLIDESLOPE) and the other guides you into the centerline of a runway from the moment that you hear a pilot say LOCALIZER ALIVE the system guiding him into the extended centerline of the runway. This is done by the needle on the bottom of the horizontal indicator on the PFD for modern, electronic commercial airliners. And for other it's done by mechanical gauges.

The GLIDESLOPE works with the same principle, except it shows that needle on the vertical side of the artificial horizon. If you're to low the needle will tell you by moving up, telling you to climb and if you're too high it will move down telling you to descend.Aircraft capable of auto land can use the autopilot to interpret this information and make much better adjustments than the piolts can. This is why the auto land is only used in certain conditions that the pilots couldn't control the plane safely in.

HELLO FREINDS

"Today is a very great day"
So, I want to share some hot news about aviation industry.

Indigo flight heading to Dubai refuses to accept Indian currency from passenger trying to buy food onboard

A couple of days after a passenger was manhandled at the Delhi airport by Indigo staffers, the airline has found itself in the midst of another row. This time a passenger - a businessman from Delhi - lodged a complaint with the Sarojini Nagar police station that Indigo did not accept the Indian currency he offered for his breakfast on flight. The passenger, Pramod Kumar Jain, complained that the airline's refusal to accept Indian Rupee notes "dishonoured" the national currency. The incident took place on October 10 and he was flying from Bengaluru to Dubai.
In the morning of October 10, Jain boarded the 6E95 at 7:20 am and decided to order breakfast. Jain also submitted a copy of the IndiGo inflight menu which lists prices of food items in US dollars. Its last page specifically mentions that Indigo accepts USD and the local currency of the country of origin and destination of the flight.
Jain further alleged that the crew had received directions to accept only foreign currency and that another passenger also faced a similar situation.
Indigo released a statement and said that they were breaking no rules in refusing to accept the Indian currency. They said that it is clearly mentioned in the onboard sales menu, and the policy is in line with the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Indigo further said it has asked the Reserve Bank of India to allow higher onboard sales in rupees (above Rs. 25,000) and is actively discussing with the authorities in this regard.
When Business Today got in touch with officials from Indigo, they reiterated that they do not accept Indian currency for onboard sales in accordance with FEMA regulation 3. They also said, "We have filed a request for carrying onboard sales in INR (above 25,000) with Reserve Bank of India on February 26 2014 and June 05, 2014."
In a letter that Indigo shared with Business Today, the airline wrote to RBI that in order to carry on their onboard sales, the airline would need to import currency in amounts higher than the amount prescribed in FEMA regulations. The letter also mentions that the use of the term 'person' as per the regulations include a 'company' and that there is a lack of clarity whether the prescribed limit of import and export of Indian currency would apply 'per flight' of Indigo.
Indigo has requested the RBI to increase the limit of import of Indian currency to Rs 1,50,000. In fact, the limit of Rs 25,000 is a revised one. Before that, the limit was Rs 10,000 that was eventually increased in an amendment of the FEMA regulations.
Business Today spoke to officials of Air Asia and SpiceJet as well, both of who mentioned that Indian currency is accepted in their international flights.
